About us

Founded in 2023 under the leadership of Dr. Simon Sølvsten, the European Center for Risk & Resilience Studies is committed to Empowering Actions to Shape Tomorrow's Resilience.

We take pride in being a collaborative effort, bringing together diverse public and private organizations with a forward-thinking mindset and a shared vision. Our primary goal is to not only enhance the understanding of risks and resilience but also to develop practical strategies that can actively shape a resilient future.

Through the generous support of industry stakeholders, we are proud of the significant backing, enabling active participation from esteemed partners who share our mission. We are honoured by the trust we have gained from organizations worldwide. We are currently providing strategic counsel to government bodies, Fortune 500 companies, startups, and NGOs, solidifying our position as a trusted partner in risk and resilience matters.

At the European Center for Risk & Resilience Studies, our unwavering commitment to excellence sets us apart. We excel in navigating the complexities of our changing world, identifying innovative and effective solutions to intricate problems. Our research yields practical insights that can be applied in real-world contexts, fostering resilience and creating tangible impacts on individuals, organizations, and societies.

To support our projects, we receive funding from both public and private organizations, and we offer exclusive membership to our sponsors. Sponsor membership comes with a host of benefits, including access to bespoke publications, membership in our SteerCo’s, and invaluable insights.

We take pride in being an officially recognized research center at the University of Southern Denmark, which further cements our status as a reputable institution.
